Statement of Faith

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

1. Scripture

We believe that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by the Holy Spirit, true in all it affirms, and our final authority in matters of faith and conduct. The Scriptures do not merely contain the words of God—they are the Word of God, carrying His life, authority, revelation, and power to transform, strengthen faith, and bring healing to those who receive them 2 Tim 3:16–17; Matt 4:4; Rom 15:4; Prov 4:20–22).

2. God

We believe in one eternal God, perfect in essence and attributes, who exists forever in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7). They are inseparable and fully divine.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life, demonstrated the power of God, died on the cross shedding His blood for the forgiveness of sins, rose bodily on the third day, and is now exalted at the right hand of the Father. He is not merely one possible way to God—He is the only way, and He is our righteousness, regeneration, sanctification, and redemption (1 Cor 1:30–31).

4. Salvation

We believe that all people must repent of their sins and receive, by faith, the finished work of Jesus Christ. Salvation occurs when a person confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised Him from the dead. It is a gift of God’s grace offered to all but effective only for those who believe. We reject doctrines such as universalism or the idea of ultimate reconciliation of all (Acts 20:20–21; Rom 10:9–13; Eph 1:13).

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, coequal with the Father and the Son. He continues today the work He began at Pentecost, empowering believers to live godly lives and continue the ministry of Jesus. We believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit, accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues, an experience distinct from the new birth and received by faith. The gifts of the Spirit are active today and given for the edification of the church (Acts 1:8; 2:4; 1 Cor 12:7; Gal 3:2).

6. The Second Coming and the Resurrection

We believe that Jesus will return in a literal and visible way. This event is still future and will occur at the time appointed by God. At His coming, believers will be resurrected to eternal life, while those who reject Christ will face eternal condemnation. Hell is real and everlasting (1 Thess 4:16–17; Matt 24:30; Rev 1:7; Matt 25:46).

7. The Church

We believe that the true Church consists of all who have been born again in Christ, regardless of denominational background. All believers are called to proclaim the gospel and to live in fellowship with the body of Christ, including commitment to a local church (Eph 1:22–23; Matt 28:16–20; Heb 10:25).

8. Divine Healing

We believe that Jesus, through His redemptive work, also provided healing for the human body. We believe it is God’s will to restore the sick and that healing is received by faith (Isa 53:4; 1 Pet 2:24; Matt 8:17).

9. Family, Marriage, and Sexuality

We believe that God created mankind as male and female and instituted marriage as the exclusive union between one man and one woman. This is the foundation of the family and essential to the well-being of society. We believe that sexual intimacy is designed by God for marriage. We also affirm that God created each person as male or female—complementary expressions of His image—and we reject the notion of additional genders or the idea that a person can change their biological sex (Gen 1:26–27; 2:24; Rom 1:26–29; Heb 13:4).

10. The Sanctity of Life

We believe that human life begins at conception and is sacred from beginning to end. Every person bears the image of God and therefore possesses inherent value and dignity. We defend and protect the unborn, the vulnerable, the elderly, and all who cannot defend themselves (Ps 139:14–16; Jer 1:5; Luke 1:44).

11. The New Birth and Eternal Life

We believe that salvation begins with repentance and faith in the sacrifice of Christ, and that the new birth is essential for receiving eternal life. This new life transforms the inner person and reconciles them to God (John 3:3–5; 1 John 5:12).

12. Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism by immersion is an ordinance of the Lord for all who believe. It symbolizes our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt 28:19; Acts 8:36–39).

13. Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a promise for all believers and is received after the new birth. This experience is accompanied by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4; 19:1–7).

14. Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is both an immediate act of grace and a ongoing transformation carried out by the Holy Spirit, shaping the believer into the image of Christ (Heb 12:14; 1 Thess 5:23; 2 Cor 3:18).

15. The Return of Christ and the Millennial Kingdom

We affirm that Jesus Christ will come again in a literal and visible manner, just as the angels proclaimed: “This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will return in the same way you saw Him go” (Acts 1:11). His coming is near. At His appearing, “the dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). Following the Tribulation, Christ will descend to the earth as the sovereign King of kings and will reign for a thousand years alongside His saints (Matthew 24:29–30; Revelation 20:6).

16. Hell and Final Judgment

We believe that those who reject Christ will face judgment and eternal punishment. The eternity of punishment is as real and unending as the eternity of life with God. The lake of fire is a literal reality described in Scripture (Heb 9:27; Rev 20:11–15).
